ABC’s of Salvation

Admit that you are a sinner and repent. Be sorry for what you have done wrong and turn away from sin.

Believe in Jesus. Believe that He died for your sins. Believe in a way that you want to live your life by choosing Christ’s way and not your old way.

Commit to live your life in a Christ-like way. Choose the will of God, not that of yourself.

Outline for Leading a Child to Christ

  1. God loves us all and has a plan for our loves. This plan is to know Christ and have eternal life. 1 John 4:10
  2. Who is Jesus? God sent His Son, Jesus to save us from sin. 1 John 4:9, Isaiah 59:2
  3. What is sin? Who has sin? Sin separates God from man. 1 John 4:9, 1 Timothy 2:5
  4. What did Jesus do for us? John 3:16
  5. All who believe and call upon the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved. Acts 10:31-32
What Happens Next?
When you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and have asked Him to forgive your sins and come to live in your heart, you are a Christian, and have been saved! You will go to heaven! You become a child of God. Your sins are forgiven. You can be baptized and you can begin to become more like Jesus by:

  1. Talking to God every day in prayer
  2. Reading the Bible, God’s Word
  3. Obeying God
  4. Going to church and listening to your teachers and pastors
  5. Getting involved in church programs
  6. Telling others about Jesus
  7. Helping others in need
  8. Being baptized
What is Baptism?

  1. It is a symbol of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection by being immersed into water
  2. Obeying God and following His example
  3. Shows others you are a Christian
  4. It is a picture of how you are saved
